Our Mission
Every year numerous students across the island return each academic year without the basic necessities required for learning. In this light, the Do Something Different foundation has come together as a group of passionate and ambitious young people to assist less-fortunate students across Saint Lucia.
The model behind DSD is to encourage the youth and by extension the Saint Lucian public as well as the Diaspora, to be PRO-education and PRO-self-development. The objective is to collect as many stationary items and monetary contributions as possible, all of which will go toward the purchasing of school materials for redistribution to students.
To date, DSD has donated to over 300 students since its inception on February 10th, 2017. The intention is to send as many secondary and primary school students back to school with fully equipped school bags each year. DSD would like to thank the young people and individuals across the globe who have enthusiastically supported and received the mission thus far.
“ I’ve really been impacted in a variety of ways, Do Something Different has helped me grow as a person and encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone through volunteer opportunities, community service initiatives and character building workshops.”

We are celebrating over $130,000 XCD in donation of school materials to students island wide! The date for distribution of these school packages, coupled with school visits and detailed student interaction, runs from the first to the second week of July, in time for the new academic year. Considering that DSD is a non-profit organization, funding is solely dependent on fundraisers, sponsorship and donations from the general public and the cooperate sector. With much support from the media and local radio stations after many interviews, we have utilized all possible avenues to make this project as is the first of many, a success.
We continue school interactions right throughout the year focusing on events such as Youth Month, Independence, Executive Conferences and more.
